Dynamic HR at the Private GP Summit 2026: From Rota to Workforce Picture
Dynamic HR exhibited at the Private GP Summit 2026 on the Isle of Man, introducing the Cadence Engine and exploring how connected scheduling and attendance tools help healthcare organisations move beyond the rota to a complete workforce picture.

"Dynamic HR exhibited at the Private GP Summit 2026 on the Isle of Man from 9 to 11 October, bringing Dynamic EMS, Dynamic Schedules and our newly introduced Cadence Engine to an audience of private GPs, practice owners and healthcare professionals. Alongside our exhibition presence, our mastermind session, "From Rota to Workforce Picture: Dynamic EMS, Dynamic Schedules and the Cadence Engine in Healthcare", explored the work that sits behind a published rota: managing changes, keeping employees informed and understanding whether planned cover matches actual attendance. For an Isle of Man business, it was a pleasure to take part in an event bringing healthcare professionals together on our home island."
A published rota is only part of the job
Think of an early-morning absence. The rota says the shift is covered, but a message has just arrived saying someone cannot come in. A manager now needs to find an alternative, check availability, update the schedule and make sure the right people know about the change. If those steps happen across a spreadsheet, a messaging thread and a separate attendance record, it becomes difficult to establish which version is current. The immediate problem may be finding cover, but the administrative consequences can continue into payroll preparation. This was the practical focus of our session. Rather than treating scheduling as an isolated task, we considered the chain from planning a shift through to recording what actually happened.
Introducing the Cadence Engine
The summit marked the first public introduction of our Cadence Engine, the scheduling algorithm developed in-house for Dynamic Schedules. It builds schedules around configured requirements such as employee availability, working-hour limits, days off, time-off requests and shift requirements. Coverage views and schedule scoring help managers review the resulting plan before publishing it. The purpose is to make the planning work more manageable while keeping managers involved in the decisions. A generated schedule still needs to be reviewed against the organisation's actual requirements. That distinction matters in healthcare. Clinical competencies, staffing requirements and local policies need to be scoped and validated for each deployment. Scheduling software supports that process; it does not replace clinical staffing judgement.
Connecting the schedule to employee management
Dynamic Schedules handles roster creation, while Dynamic EMS connects the published plan to wider employee-management activity. Employees can view upcoming shifts, request holidays, report illness and submit shift-swap requests. Managers can see clock-ins, late arrivals and no-shows, then use attendance information to support payroll preparation. Dynamic EMS also extends beyond the rota, covering areas including employee records, onboarding, contracts, documents and training. Scheduling and attendance are part of that wider employee lifecycle, rather than separate systems that managers have to reconcile by hand. For a practice or other healthcare organisation, the relevant question is where these connections would remove avoidable work. That could be keeping absence information current, making shift changes clearer to staff or comparing scheduled hours with recorded attendance.
Recognised in the summit's exhibitor coverage
In its LinkedIn coverage during the event, the summit organiser highlighted Dynamic HR as a "home-grown Isle of Man company", describing how connected workforce tools can help clinics, care homes and hospitals improve scheduling, understand attendance and reduce avoidable manual coordination. We appreciated that recognition, and the opportunity to present the operational thinking behind our products alongside other businesses working on healthcare challenges. Our sister company, Scalemind AI, also contributed a separate mastermind session led by Ben Higham-Smith on using AI with sensitive patient information. The two sessions addressed different responsibilities: protecting information and managing the people needed to deliver services.
Continuing the conversation
For organisations considering a change, we recommend starting with a specific workflow and measuring it. Time spent building rotas, handling absence, communicating changes and correcting attendance discrepancies gives a more useful starting point than a long software wish list. Thank you to the organisers and everyone who took part in the Private GP Summit 2026.
